Brigade Group Buys 2 Acres on Kanakapura Road for a ₹400 Crore Housing Project

Brigade Group has bought a 2-acre land parcel on Kanakapura Road in south Bangalore. It plans a premium residential project on the site, with an estimated gross development value of about ₹400 crore. The deal, announced on 30 July 2026, is an outright purchase rather than a joint development with the landowner.

What is planned

Brigade has said the project will focus on good connectivity and a healthy living environment. It has not yet shared the number of homes, the flat sizes or a launch date. As an upcoming project, it will need its approvals and a Karnataka RERA registration before bookings can open.

Brigade Enterprises' executive director, Amar Mysore, said Kanakapura Road has become a key growth corridor. He linked this to better infrastructure and connectivity, and to steady demand from buyers. He added that the purchase fits the company's plan to grow in high-potential parts of the city.

Why Kanakapura Road

Kanakapura Road runs south-west from the city towards the hills beyond Bangalore. The Green Line of Namma Metro now reaches Silk Institute, which has made the road far easier to live on. Schools, hospitals and shopping have followed the new homes, and flats in Kanakapura Road are among the more searched options in south Bangalore.
