About Rajajinagar

Luxury buyers who want the west side of the city, near the centre, tend to start with apartments in Rajajinagar. The suburb was planned in the 1950s and was one of the first big extensions laid out after independence. With its broad street grid, a Green Line metro route and the big Orion Mall nearby, it is one of the most complete neighbourhoods in Bangalore. New supply comes almost entirely from redeveloping older plots, which is why new projects aim at the top of the market.

Everything we track here is apartments, and almost all of it is finished. Listed starting prices run from about Rs. 2.43 Cr at Purva Limousine Homes to about Rs. 10.9 Cr at Phoenix Kessaku, which offers three- to five-bedroom homes with family lounges and staff quarters. Phoenix One West, completed in 2024, lists three- to four-and-a-half-bedroom homes from about Rs. 6.33 Cr. Sobha RajVilas, finished in 2023, has three-bedroom homes from about Rs. 2.75 Cr. DNR Highline, marked ready, offers three- to five-bedroom plans from about Rs. 3.45 Cr. Small homes are almost absent, so this is a market for larger families.

The central business district is close, and the road towards the airport is easy to reach from here. The Green Line metro runs through the suburb, which helps on days you would rather not drive.

At these prices, the checks are about paperwork and running costs. Ask for the occupancy certificate and, for resales, the full title chain and any loans against the property. Get the monthly maintenance figure in writing, since large homes with extensive facilities cost a lot to run. At DNR Highline, confirm which towers are handed over, as its possession date reads October 2026 onwards. Compare the carpet area you are paying for across projects, since layouts differ a great deal.

Nearby areas worth comparing are Malleshwaram, Yeshwanthpur, Vijayanagar and Magadi Road.
