Properties in East Tambaram

Families looking for flats in East Tambaram usually want the rail and highway links of Tambaram with a quieter street to come home to. This is the eastern side of the Tambaram suburb in south Chennai, extending towards Selaiyur and Camp Road. It is mostly residential and settled, with shopping streets of its own. It also leans towards the Velachery and Medavakkam side of the city.

Because the area is largely built up, new homes come from infill sites rather than big layouts. DRA Clover from DRA Homes is under construction, with 2 and 3 BHK flats from about Rs. 52.6 Lakhs and possession from July 2027. Casagrand Estia is under construction in two phases, offering 2 and 3 BHK flats. It has no published price yet. CasaGrand Mabelle is a completed villa community on about 9.29 acres, with 3 BHK row villas and independent villas from about Rs. 1.09 Crore. That mix covers mid-market flats and family villas.

Getting around relies on the same links as Tambaram: suburban rail and GST Road. If you work towards Velachery or Medavakkam, the eastern side can save time. Test the drive at peak hour, as GST Road carries heavy traffic.

Infill projects have trade-offs. Plots are smaller, so shared amenities may be modest, and parking can be tight. For villas, check the land title and the layout approval, and ask who maintains internal roads. For the flats under construction, compare the promised date with the builder's record. Verify each project's registration on the TNRERA portal, and ask about water supply. Get the full cost sheet, covering car parking, corpus fund and registration, before paying a booking amount.
