For buyers who travel a lot or commute by train, flats in Pallavaram offer rare connections. The suburb is in south Chennai, with the airport on one side and Tambaram on the other. People have lived here for a very long time; caves cut into the rock survive from Pallava rule. It runs as its own municipality and has a crowded market core. Suburban trains stop here, while GST Road and the ring road are both near.

Nearly all the homes here are apartments, mostly 2 and 3 BHK. Prices start from about Rs. 35 Lakhs at Radiance The Pride, a finished project, and go up to about Rs. 1.25 Cr at NCC Urban Ivy Towers, due from 2028. Alliance Galleria Residences, complete since January 2021, offers 1 to 3 BHK flats from about Rs. 44 Lakhs. TVS Emerald Avalon is a new launch on about 12.44 acres, with 2 and 3 BHK flats and duplexes from about Rs. 1.16 Cr. Casagrand Casamia, spread over 22 acres, is under construction in two phases.

Transport is the real draw. Suburban trains give you a rail option into the city, and GST Road leads south. The Outer Ring Road opens other directions, and the airport is on your doorstep. Aircraft noise can be noticeable near the flight path, so visit at different times of day. Check the walk or drive from the project gate to the station too.

With projects at every stage, match the stage to your timing. A finished flat lets you inspect what you buy. A launch or an under-construction tower needs a written handover date and a look at the builder's past record.
