For people whose office is in the SIPCOT IT park or at Siruseri, apartments in Navalur offer about the shortest commute on OMR. The locality lies south of Sholinganallur, right beside the SIPCOT campus. Not long ago it was a small seaside settlement; the IT campuses have since reshaped it. That short trip to work is the reason many buyers pick it over localities further north on the corridor. It also means rental demand from IT staff is steady, which matters if you are buying to let.

Most homes here are apartments, with a couple of villa communities. Prices start from about Rs. 41 Lakhs for a DRA Truliv 2 BHK and reach about Rs. 1.9 Cr for a Casagrand Amberley villa. OMR is your main road, and it carries most of the local traffic. A metro corridor is under construction towards SIPCOT, and a station would bring rail within reach once it opens. Until then, travel is by road, so time the drive north towards the city at the busy hour before you commit.
